Tom Andrews: Lonesome Dove - "Lover's Leap" 1995

Tom Andrews is the new teacher in the town. He has a hatred of firearms, and loses no chance to tell the kids about the evils of guns. Mattie falls for him, but it turns out that Tom has had a very violent past.

When a renegade hiding out in the town spots Tom, he recognises him as someone that he spent time in jail with. Everything goes down hill from there.

It's a lovely, poignant performance from Nick as a man who's been to hell and is trying to climb out again.
